Job Summary | The laboratory of Dr. Caroline Geisler, in the College of Pharmacy, is seeking a Laboratory Technician. The Laboratory Technician will provide support for animal (mice and rats) behavioral experiments alongside student or external lab collaborations evaluating the pharmacological effect of a drug compound or transgenic manipulation on energy balance and metabolism. Common assessments include body weights, food intake, glucose tolerance tests, blood collections, and assisting with dissections and tissue processing. Coordinate and reserve equipment and procedure rooms required for performing experimental work. Collect and record data generated from experiments. They will also maintain documentation for and monitor compliance with safety regulatory policies and procedures. They will process animal blood and tissue samples and maintain mouse colony. |
