Direct Support Professional - Addiction Recovery (days) at Compass Health Network in Columbia, Missouri

Job Description:

Compensation: $18.00 hourly

Due to rapid expansion in all of our clinics, we are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus. We are eager to be able to continue to serve clients in our service areas and need you to make this happen!

Our direct support professionals are responsible for supervision of consumers to ensure their safety and well-being for our Women and Children's residential recovery center in Columbia, MO. In order to thrive in this role, you must be comfortable working closely with people who have an addiction disorder and have a desire to provide excellent client care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC::

• Provide group education.


• Transport consumers as necessary.


• Log new medications and store appropriately on unit.


• Observe self-administration of medicine on unit.


• Assist with orientation of new consumers.


• Complete paper and electronic documentation within required time frames


• Supervise/monitor consumers


• Collect and process UD's


• Ensure safety of consumers by appropriately responding to crisis situations as they occur


• Assist client(s) with transportation as clinically indicated. Driving is an essential function of the position

High School diploma/GED Preferred

A valid unrestricted driver's license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a class E MO driver's licensed by the end of 60-day introductory period required
