Job Description:

Nemours is seeking a Systems Cloud Architect to join our Nemours Children's Health team.

This is a Remote position.

The Systems Cloud Architect's core focus is implementing, managing, and optimizing the Nemours Microsoft Azure Landing Zone environment. This role will function as a subject matter expert in Azure services. This position requires advanced knowledge, expert level understanding and prior hands-on experience with cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service platforms. Expertise in Azure Subscription & Resource management, Terraform, Web App gateways, Load Balancers, Express Routes, Firewalls including security features such as Defender for Cloud, is required.

This position plays a critical role in the design, planning and execution of the Nemours Cloud presence. The Systems Cloud Architect will be involved at every phase of a cloud technology project lifecycle from intake through delivery. The architect role will oversee the network topology, security and server architecture ensuring a set of standards are incorporated into the overall design. Advancing a secure, cost effective, supportable cloud platform that considers future technology direction and aligns with Nemours strategic initiatives is a requirement of this role.

As part of a group of highly skilled System Administration team members, the Systems Cloud Architect will work directly with various infrastructure teams to help design and execute cloud solutions while partnering with Enterprise Architects to align all other technical components of Nemours Infrastructure.

This role will routinely collaborate with Corporate Information Security, Network Engineering, Network Architecture, Datacenter, DBA, Server, Application and Storage teams.

• Subject matter expert level expertise in core Azure infrastructure services
• Recommend best practice approach and architectural design for workflows moving to Azure
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations, including a deep dive into reliability and scaling issues from both a code and infrastructure perspective
• Govern identity and access control to ensure appropriate level of access assigned to cloud systems and technical resources
• Recommend secure and safe cloud computing best practices
• Hands-on scripting experience for automating operations & processes
• Ability to create and modify Infrastructure-as-Code templates in Terraform

• Bachelor's Degree required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience required.
• Experience with Azure and cloud services a must.
• Certifications a plus.
