Technical Repair II




Madison, AL




Contract Position

Responsibilities:



  • Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.

  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.

  • May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems/subsystems resulting from rejection data from tests performed.

  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings.

  • Precision hand soldering/component repair of surface mount and through-hole components along with circuit board repair.

  • Perform tests and debugging of electro-mechanical assemblies, and printed circuit boards.

  • Test will be performed using various test methods and equipment to include but not limited to power supplies, digital multi-meters, and/or oscilloscope.

  • Troubleshoot and repair/rework of nonconforming parts.

  • Adjust and operate equipment and records repair data, pointing out deviations resulting from malfunctions or observational errors.

  • Participate in discussions with technical and engineering personnel.


Qualifications:



  • High School diploma

  • IPC 610 & J-STD 001 required

  • Circuit board/component Repair required

  • 1 to 5 years Experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Ability to work in a high stressful environment including changing from one task to another.

  • Able to lift material up to 30lbs.

  • Able to obtain a safe and clean work environment.

  • Strong computer skills with the use of Excel, Microsoft, and company operating system.

  • Strong hands-on skills such as breadboarding, soldering, and circuit board repair and fabrication.

  • Skill in the reading and layout of schematic drawings and the ability to translate them into printed wiring boards.

  • Safety Training

  • ESD Training

  • Work Procedure Training

  • Supervised on the job training
