1st Shift Hours:   6:30a to 2:30p, M-Fr for training

3:30a to 11:30a, M-Fr normal hours

2nd Shift hours:  2:30p to 12:30a, M-Th or 3:30p to 12:30a; 1p to 5p on Friday

Heraeus Inc. is looking for a skilled **Machinist / Maintenance Mechanic** to maintain the pulse of our visionary machinery and mechanical systems!  Step into a role that values your expertise and drive for perfection.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Engage in precision machining, managing tasks such as shaping, cutting, and fabricating metal parts—50% of your role.
• Maintain and enhance production quality by ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams and subcontractors to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, making sure that machines are always production-ready.
• Perform preventive maintenance across a variety of systems including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyors.
• Contribute to building maintenance, ensuring the mechanical and electrical systems are up to par, which may involve working on fire detection systems, refrigeration systems, and more.
• Innovate and fabricate repair parts, using standard turning and plane machines, boring and drilling machines, grinders, horizontal mill, and engine lathe.
• Record and manage data using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience and knowledge in the Machinist trade.
• Understanding of electrical and PLC controls, and able to read and interpret diagrams.
• Deep knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Minimum of a 2-Year Industrial Maintenance Associate's Degree or equivalent in experience and skill.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to work both independently and as a part of a dedicated team.
• Excellent communication skills, proficiency in English, and ability to handle various physical demands of the job.

• ensuring OSHA and ISO compliance: 2 years (Required)
• operating horizontal mills and engine lathes: 2 years (Required)
• diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues: 2 years (Required)
• performing PMs on complex production machinery: 2 years (Required)
• reading and utilizing electrical and PLC control diagrams: 2 years (Required)
