Responsible for establishing Quality Assurance measures to include quality control functions to meet internal and external requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish quality controls, OEE metrics, monitoring, feedback, and improvement practices in all manufacturing and distribution facilities.
Work closely with all levels -- from plant management and machine operators -- to identify, assess, and resolve issues with raw materials; production and assembly processes; finished goods; and distribution processes.
Work closely with Engineering to establish acceptance criteria for raw materials and finished goods.
Experienced in ISO standards (9001 is a must and 14001 is preferred), customer focus and satisfaction centric. Assure compliance to practices and lead annual ISO certification renewal process.
Train team members on quality-related metrics, processes, and standards as well as certify auditors
Promote a "quality culture" in word and deed at all times
Qualifications:
10+ years' experience in quality functions in manufacturing environments
Certified lead auditor through a reputable organization
Direct exposure to injection molding production is a plus
Manufacturing or technical degree is a plus
Strong background in Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and ISO
Metrics-driven; highly-skilled in statistical analysis
Most importantly, candidate must have the experience and confidence to actively engage team in process enhancements and corrective actions - operating more on the plant floor than in their office
