Job Description:

Basic Job Functions:



The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is primarily responsible for:

• The preventative & corrective maintenance of all onsite mobile equipment. (Forklifts, Aerial lifts, skid steers, company vehicles, portable generators, mobile cranes, etc.)


• Coordination of all aspects of mobile equipment rentals onsite.


• Short- & long-term management of mobile equipment spare parts

The Mobile Equipment Mechanic will also be expected to assist with preventative & corrective maintenance of Plant Auxiliary systems & equipment from time to time.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic Mechanical aptitude


• 3 years of Mobile equipment maintenance experience


• Demonstratable knowledge of Diesel & Gas engines operation & maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior heavy industry related experience


• Metal fabrication and welding skills


• Equipment Maintenance certifications
