As a Software Developer III, you will be part of a cross functional team with expertise in systems engineering, product architecture, technical writing, UI/UX design, and software development. The selected candidate will serve as a leader in their field for the planning, development and management of a complex, cloud-based software application being developed following agile management principles. The prototype to be developed includes creation of workflows, integration of numerous United States Air Force databases used to automate decision making processes as well as the standup and integration of a Siemens' Teamcenter based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system used with Additive Manufacturing (AM) of aircraft parts. The system must comply with all AF cyber security requirements and technical data management regulations.
The Software Developer III will work to gain a robust understanding of both the application requirements and software being developed. They will help translate complex requirements and into functional cloud infrastructure hosting working software.
The proposed salary range for this position is $113,000 - $170,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. RESPONSIBILITIES
Part of an agile team which is building an entire Test Lab on AWS GovCloud (Cloud One), maintain a Kubernetes platform, and develop and maintain a USAF application.
Assist in the implementation of a scalable, secure, high available, multi-tenant Web application in Kubernetes for Production environment to receive Authority to Operate
Participate in design and automation of cloud-native architecture and CI/CD process for microservices applications (build, test, release, and GitOps)
Develop and deploy production systems in AWS GovCloud (Cloud One)
Support in areas of identity and access management, cloud infrastructure, patching, and backup/recovery processes
Diagnose, mitigate, and/or escalate system issues to maintaina high level of system/platform availability.
Participate in the development of a cloud-native application using a scalable microservices architecture
Working as part of an agile scrum team.
Support operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions.
Ensure 100% of planned hours are worked and recorded
Identify and forward to your leadership any opportunities that could lead to growth within your work area
Ensure all contractual deliverables are met/exceeded to the customer's satisfaction
Completes personal PDP and attend Staff Meeting and Storytime (with camera on)
Within your program, build productive and positive professional relationships with clients
Performs other related duties as assigned
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Clearance: Secret Clearance Required
Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 Years of Experience, a Master's Degree with 3-5 Years of Experience or an Associate's Degree with 8-10 Years of Experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering (Degree is negotiable with 10 - 12 years of IT-related experience)
Recent experience using GIT for Version Control
Recent experience using Helm and Kubernetes
Recent experience using a Linux operating system
Recent experience using at least one of the following cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Digital Ocean)
Recent experience using at least one of the following (Jenkins, Drone, Gitlab Runner, CircleCI, Harness)
Recent experience with at least one of the following (Python, Javascript, Web Development)
Active DoD Directive 8570 IAT I or II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
Quick to find and implement solutions

Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
