The Assistant Professor of Human Anatomy/Human Biology is a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position in the Department of Biology at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. The teaching load is 12 credits per semester (24 credits/year) and will include upper-level courses in human anatomy and introductory biology, especially as they support degree requirements in nursing as well as the Clinical Laboratory Science major, Medical Laboratory Scientist program, and for pre-professional programs in health such as pre-medical, pre-physician assistant, and pre-pharmacy. There is also the possibility of teaching other courses based upon area(s) of interest, specialization, and department needs, including team-teaching gross dissection at an entry-level for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program (under a separate, summer contract). Additional responsibilities include the development of a productive research program involving undergraduates, student advising, and department, school, college, and university-level service.
