Associate Managing Director, Cyber Risk

Kroll Cyber Risk is seeking an Associate Managing Director, responsible for building and growing partnerships with cyber insurance carriers, law firms, and brokers. The Kroll Cyber Insurance team is responsible for driving revenue for each of the following areas:


  • Digital Forensics & Incident Response
  • Discovery Services
  • Data Breach Notification Services
  • Proactive Services


This individual will work in concert with the Global cyber insurance team, sales and functional leaders, and cyber practitioners to execute a strategy to cultivate and grow new partnerships throughout the region.

The role is meant for an experienced and independent professional who has the ability to build strong relationships in a region with high-level direction and support from sales, marketing, and practitioners. Unlike a product-based sales model, Kroll's services require the sales team partner on their go-to-market approach with subject matter experts and collaborate on new ways to build our brand, services, and opportunities.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the marketplace to generate incident response business by being 'on panel' with the insurers and the partner of choice for the insurers and their partner law firms to deliver engagements
  • Attend global industry events within the market to foster relationships and determine the requirements Kroll's Cyber Risk business needs to fulfil to drive improved partner/client satisfaction that ultimately results in higher volumes of business
  • Manage a team that is responsible to drive insurance generated engagements for Kroll's reactive and proactive services
  • Report on the volume of engagements delivered via insurance/law firm partnerships, and articulating to the business what is required to continually drive demand generation
  • Understand challenges and issues that are limiting the amount of business being generated. This could include pricing, delivery issues and inflexibility
  • Negotiate contractual agreements with cyber insurers to get Kroll 'on panel' and working internally with the Kroll legal team
  • Knowledge of competitors within the marketplace and their offerings
  • Collaborate heavily with global cyber insurance team on Global partnerships and strategy
  • Influence the development of campaigns, tools, resources, incentives, and accountability metrics


Requirements:

  • Have 10+ years related experience in the same or related industry
  • Deep understanding of how the cyber insurance market functions and the key players that comprise this market. I.e. cyber insurance underwriters, brokers and law firms
  • Experienced in proposal and contract preparation
  • Excellent relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Must be able to think independently and make sound decisions
  • Must be proficient in Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office, and able to learn new sales tools
  • Display ability to communicate effectively particularly with external clients and internal colleagues
