Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide consultation on talent management solutions in support of company strategy and growth. This is achieved by leading the design and development of complex talent management programs and tools in the areas of job analysis and design, career and progression pathing, talent hiring/promotion, skill and performance assessment, and succession planning. Additional responsibilities include the following:


  •   responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex talent management systems in a wide variety of areas such as job design/career pathing, talent selection/promotion, skill and performance assessment, and succession planning

  •   responsible for driving continuous improvement of talent management programs by proactively identifying gaps and opportunities and recommending potential solutions for improvement

  •   responsible for providing consultation and I/O expertise to individual business areas and project teams to create and implement unique and customized solutions


 


  • Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology or equivalent professional work experience (6 years) performing I/O-specific consultation and content development work.

  • 3 years of professional experience designing and developing talent management solutions including areas such as conducting job design and analysis, developing performance measurement processes and tools, identifying valid assessments for use in selection, conducting statistical analyses, etc. and

  • 2 years professional experience participating on related project teams and/or consulting on the use of related tools and processes

  • Be at least 20 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle (on or before his or her start date in the position)

  • knowledge of job analysis and selection and performance evaluation principles, theory, and methodologies and how to apply it to create successful business solutions.

  • knowledge of legal standards (i.e., adverse impact) including of Title VII, EEOC Uniform Guidelines, EEO principles and systemic discrimination issues, etc.

  • advanced knowledge of HR concepts.

  • advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and research design.

  • ability and willingness to demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, optimism, and passion when working

  • ability to self-direct work activities and take action on tasks without direction from a supervisor;

  • ability to manage time so that the priority of the activities determines the timing and amount of attention they receive

  • ability to inspect, cleanse, transform and model data from various sources with the goal of discovering useful information/trends, informing conclusion and supporting decision-making

  • ability and willingness to generate unique solutions and ideas to address problems and improve work efficiencies, productivity, and customer service

  • ability to effectively resolve problems; identify and analyze key information from multiple sources

  • ability to persuade, convince or achieve buy-in from others

  • ability to orally present and express ideas and information clearly, politely, and concisely, in a manner appropriate to the audience

  • ability to prepare clear, accurate, understandable, and professional written text in English, using appropriate level of detail for the intended audience, and following the basic rules of spelling, grammar, and punctuation to convey information

  • ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of highly sensitive data and information

  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint

  • knowledge of SPSS or other statistical software

  • available for day trips/local travel and overnight trips

  • availability to work nights occasionally

  • availability to work weekends and extended hours as business needs require


  • Doctorate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology

  • 5 years of professional experience designing, developing, and implementing selection, assessment, and/or performance evaluation tools and programs

  • Experience with developing talent management solutions in large scale and/or retail environments

  • Experience leading project teams

  • SIOP member

  • Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR)

  • knowledge of Publix’s business areas and retail operations.

  • knowledge of Publix’s current processes with regards to selection and performance evaluations and of Publix’s project management and structured writing methodologies.

  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint
