About the role

As our Capture & Proposal Manager, you will be an integral part of Forterra's Growth team and will leverage your skills in communication, design, research, and project management to write compelling documents, navigate unique business challenges and create innovative solutions. In addition to working with our Growth team, you will interface with Forterra's Legal, Product, and Engineering teams, and will manage proposals for new contracts, and develop technical narratives on Forterra's technology portfolio for senior executives, contracting officers.
A successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and ensuring compelling, complete, and compliant proposal responses that reflect win strategies and align to evaluation factors.
This role is on-site, hybrid eligible with telework up to 2-3 days a week.

What you"ll do

  • Leading, writing and managing proposals in collaboration with multiple internal teams to showcase our products to proposal evaluators, customer leadership, and other audiences
  • Partnering with the business development and legal teams to pursue long-term opportunities and executing Forterra's capture, pricing, and outreach strategy through proposals, white papers, and other documents
  • Managing multiple proposal tasks, often with rapid turnaround deadlines
  • Creating and owning the proposal process with an eye towards constant improvement, develop document templates and self-help resources for teams to more effectively communicate with customers and respond to RFPs
  • Coordinating with technical counterparts on Forterra's engineering team and develop deep expertise in complex technical information to clearly communicate and accurately represent the company's technology to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Interpreting and effectively communicating technical, experience, past performance, personnel, management and/or other requirements of commercial and Government solicitations
  • Incorporating win strategy/themes, benefits, messaging, differentiators, and/or solutions into proposal document(s)
  • Maintaining proactive communication with proposal stakeholders and leadership to ensure smooth proposal processes and secure necessary resources for successful proposal development and submission

Qualifications

  • Experience in writing and editing for proposals, and/or other technical documents
  • Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, communication, and decision-making skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines, sometimes with short turnaround times, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well independently and in geographically dispersed, virtual teams
  • Communication skills reflected in the ability to both clearly articulate information and to listen and understand business needs
  • Comfort working with a diverse range of disciplines including, but not limited to, design, technology, and engineering

Education & Experience
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

US Salary Range
$110,000-$165,000
The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra's overall compensation package. In addition to base salary and equity, Forterra offers competitive benefits for full-time employees including:
