Intro and job overview:
The Senior Software Engineer takes ownership of product software development throughout its lifecycle. You are motivated and engaged from design to delivery. You will emphasize good coding practices and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers alike. You are emotionally intelligent and can simplify complex problems.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work within an Agile Scrum team as a Senior Software Engineer
- Build secure and scalable software using Java and other programming languages
- Emphasize good coding practices
- Be a strong communicator
- Design solutions to complex problems
- Provide mentorship to fellow Engineers
- Set good examples for team culture
- Be flexible and show a willingness to work across different disciplines
- Stay aware of advancements in technology and present new ideas to the team
- Participate in code reviews
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field (Equivalent work experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement)
- 5+ Years Experience in Software Engineering
- 3+ Years Experience developing in Java
- Cloud/SaaS/AWS, Java, Python, SQL, Git/Version Control product
- AWS Certifications, Experience working within an Agile team, JavaScript experience, Jira is a plus
