The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Senior Accountant - Equity and Post-Retirement Benefits, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Ensuring the Company's proper accounting for equity and post-retirement benefits, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and other internal controls in support of timely and accurate financial reporting

  • Optimizing equity and post-retirement benefit accounting financial close and reporting processes; and evaluating, designing, and implementing key controls for SOX reporting

  • Collaborating with external service providers involved with equity and post-retirement benefit accounting, and working with international business controllers and cross-functional teams

  • Support preparation and external audit of benefit plan financial statements

  • Actively support other related processes including but not limited to: equity and post-retirement benefits components of the operating plan, forecast updates, budget to actual analysis, and internal and external audits

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND six (6) years of accounting experience

OR
  • High school diploma/GED AND ten (10) years of experience in accounting

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:


  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification

  • Direct experience in accounting and financial disclosure preparation related to stock-based compensation (ASC 718), pension and post-retirement benefits (ASC 715), and earnings per share (ASC 260)

  • Experience working in SAP and Power BI

  • Experience contributing on cross-functional teams, global teams, and working with external service providers

  • Experience designing, testing, and implementing new accounting systems and processes

  • Experience performing, designing, and/or testing internal controls

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Work location: Remote

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $106,331 - $129,960, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
