Job Description:

The Social Media Video Content Creator is responsible for developing and producing high-quality short-form videos and animations that effectively communicate public health messaging across various social media platforms. This role involves collaboration with the communications team to ensure content aligns with campaign goals, stays relevant to social media trends, and adheres to public health standards.

Detailed Responsibilities:

1. Content Development
- Brainstorm and develop creative concepts for short-form videos and animations that align with public health messaging and social media trends.
- Collaborate with the communications team to identify key public health topics and campaign goals.

2. Content Creation
- Produce high-quality short-form videos (e.g., YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels) and animations that engage and inform the public about health initiatives, updates, and educational content.
- Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and public health messaging standards.

3. Trend Analysis
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends, challenges, and popular formats to ensure content is relevant and engaging.
- Implement trending effects, sounds, and themes in videos to maximize reach and impact.

4. Scripting and Storyboarding
- Write compelling scripts and create storyboards for videos to ensure clear and effective communication of key messages.
- Adapt content to suit various social media platforms and audiences.

5. Editing and Post-Production
- Edit video footage, add animations, graphics, and special effects to enhance content quality and viewer engagement, using Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and other Adobe apps.
- Optimize videos for different social media platforms, including aspect ratios, file sizes, and captions, and in compliance with accessibility requirements.

6. Collaboration and Coordination
- Work with the social media team, graphic designers, public health experts, and other partners to integrate accurate information and visual elements into the content.
- Coordinate with the social media team to schedule and publish videos across various platforms.

7. Compliance and Standards
- Ensure all video content complies with public health regulations, guidelines, and ADA accessibility requirements.
- Maintain sensitivity and appropriateness in content, particularly on issues related to health and safety.

8. Training and Development
- Stay informed about the latest video production tools and techniques, and seek opportunities for professional development.
- Share knowledge and best practices with team members to enhance overall content quality.

9. Reporting and Analytics
- Track and report on video performance, including views, engagement rates, and other key metrics.
- Use data insights to refine content strategies and improve future video projects.

10. Crisis Communications
- Be prepared to create timely and accurate video content in response to public health emergencies or urgent updates.
- Ensure content addresses concerns and provides clear, actionable information to the public.

11. Innovation and Creativity
- Experiment with new video formats, styles, and techniques to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Propose innovative ideas to enhance the departments social media presence and effectiveness.
