Founded in 1984, Best Formulations LLC, a diversified nutraceutical and personal care company headquartered in City of Industry, California, is a contract manufacturer of thousands of branded SKUs, including high quality nutritional supplements including softgels, tablets, capsules, powders, teas, dietary supplements, and vegetarian softgels.

As a New Product Introduction Manager, they will be responsible for leading communication and driving the execution of all tasks related to onboarding new customers, new SKUs, changing SKUs which require new RFQs and NIFs, or reordering SKUs 12 months or older. This role oversees the process from the point of RFQ to the production of the first lot to stock shipment. The New Product Introduction Manager will collaborate with various functional teams including Sales, R&D, Planning, Purchasing, Operations, Finance, Quality, Logistics, Packaging, and Customer Service to ensure phase gate requirements are met according to customer timeline expectations. This individual will build timelines, record data, and manage risks related to project execution.

  • Monitor and document details gathered during project execution related to project health and task completion.

  • Identify process bottlenecks and opportunities to achieve better results. Gather the team to communicate issues and work on ways to break down barriers preventing task completion.

  • Use out-of-the-box thinking to suggest improvements to project management tools used to manage customer data and project workflows.

  • Track and maintain key metrics related to project performance using established tools, tracking measures, and methodology. Proactively communicate project details with internal and external partners.

  • Ensure flawless integration of new customers and their related projects into the business by providing an unparalleled customer experience.

  • Create strong professional relationships and act as an extension of the sales department by coordinating and participating in customer meetings, video conferences, visits, tours, pilots, trade shows, and other business development-related activities.

  • Validate and distribute appropriately all customer data related to terms, pricing, order quantities, forecasts, product specifications, payment, testing, and shipping requirements.

  • Track and manage customer-provided raw materials, remaining materials, and finished goods to ensure inventory arrives in time to support production and is shipped out when production is complete.

  • Ensure all charges to the customer for finished goods, excess materials, expedite fees, testing, and other fees are appropriately billed upon completion of the first lot to stock.

  • Perform customer order entry and manage all related order data processes, documentation, and system management.

  • Respond to customer complaints related to products produced as first lot to stock NPI items.

  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers related to specific NPI projects and their status.

  • In collaboration with Sales and other functional areas, perform all setup requirements related to the customer and their new items in the Sirio and Best Formulation information management systems, including the CRM and Portal. Share and store all related data appropriately.

  • Follow key established department SOPs, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.

  • Conduct project introduction, periodic project status, and lessons learned meetings to inform and align internal and external business partners on project requirements.

  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.

  • Maintain a safe work environment and operate in a safe manner.

  • Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate. 

  • College Degree in Business, Project Management, Lean Management, or a similar discipline strongly preferred.

  • Project Management certificate or more than 5 years of work experience related to managing projects in a manufacturing environment a plus.

This position is currently classified as on-site.

Base Salary Range: $72,000 - $88,000 per year, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
