What You Will Contribute:




This position works alongside the Vice President-Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy & Treasurer in developing and executing the strategic management of two-way communication between Badger Meter, the financial community and other key constituencies. The person in this position serves as the secondary contact with our investment community as directed by the VP. This position helps oversees the development and execution of a multi-year, strategic investor relations plan that is aligned with Badger Meter's long-range goals, to include investor targeting and communication of key milestones, and metrics for success. The position will also collaborate with the VP and other executives and directors to manage the annual strategic planning process including communication of vision/goals and objectives with key strategies to achieve. Finally, it includes oversight and management responsibility for ESG, including the development and execution of various ESG priorities, activities and reporting.



Job Duties:





  • Responsible for helping to formulate and execute the company's investor relations program; including effectively communicating the company's strategic direction; and establishing and maintaining the company's relationship with key analysts and the investment community.


  • Oversees and manages the strategic focus and content development for company stakeholders, including those for press releases, investor presentations, management scripts and Q&A for quarterly earnings calls, materials for Board of Directors, Annual Report, external website and other disclosure-related documents.


  • Plans and ensures solid execution of key investor events and communications, including investor conferences and road shows, as well as drafting of press releases, quarterly earnings releases and other key communications and announcements; prepares necessary research, scripts and supporting information/Q&A, and conference call materials.


  • Works closely with the VP, other executive management and General Counsel to organize Annual Shareholder Meeting, preparing Proxy materials and ascertaining/soliciting shareholder votes in compliance with the principal governance research, proxy analysis and vote-management services.


  • In partnership with other departments, monitor competitor and broader external environment to understand potential impact on the business; provide counsel to Senior leadership on possible future actions.


  • Coordinate development of BMI strategic plan encompassing overall mission, vision, objectives and key strategies. Work with key departments to develop executable objectives and aligned strategies with metrics. Aid in quarterly reporting to the Board on progress to plan.


  • Develop and drive internal and external communications in partnership with CEO, Marketing, HR and potential external firms including for crisis management.


  • Develop and coordinate key strategies, activities, reporting and messaging around Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters. In partnership with other departments, track and report key metrics, develop sustainability goals, actions, execution and messaging and disseminate reporting to stakeholders.


  • Process quarterly dividend payment, any share repurchases, pay Board fees and maintain outstanding stock ledger in alignment with transfer agent.


  • Up to 15% travel required.








    Education and Experience:



    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar required


    • 10+ years of experience in Finance or a related field desired





    Qualifications:



    • Proficient in the use of MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint preferred
