Sr Risk Analyst, Legal + Risk

The Legal + Risk team brings contemporary thinking and a risk-based approach to the table to solve problems and move the organization forward. Our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program’s main objectives are to facilitate systematic risk management and establish effective risk policies that promote risk-intelligent decision-making. To assist in these goals, the risk team provides a common framework for identifying, assessing and monitoring different risk verticals at the business group and enterprise levels. This role reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer.

Top Responsibilities


  • Assist with enterprise-wide risk management processes that support risk identification, monitoring, and reporting (business group risk assessment, emerging risk surveys, and risk event reporting).

  • Assist with initiatives and projects in other Risk team functions such as Information Management and Business Continuity.

  • Support the bank’s general liability and automobile insurance program with project management support.

  • Maintain risk metrics and reporting tools in specific enterprise risk verticals to provide ongoing monitoring of risk profiles, trends, and emerging threats and/or opportunities.

  • Engage in ad-hoc projects to enhance risk management practices and optimize control frameworks within first line business groups.

  • Develop timely, effective, and compelling enterprise risk communications.

  • Build relationships and support effective communication between the Legal + Risk team, other business groups, other Reserve Banks, and the Board of Governors.

  • Be curious and learn from risk team members to build risk management expertise.

Training, Skills and Other Certifications


  • Expertise in Tableau, Power BI or equivalent data visualization software.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite to support fundamental analysis, research, and presentation creation.

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge of risk identification, monitoring, and reporting practices.

Qualifications


  • Typically, 5 or more years of related work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field or equivalent work experience; Master’s specializing in business or project management preferred

Base Salary Range: Min: $96,600 - Mid: $126,800 - Max: $155,900 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
