Position Overview


This position will be responsible for administrative support for the Lyman-Richey Aggregate divisions sales and operations teams.



Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Answer emails and phone calls regarding orders, billing issues, price sheet requests and quote requests.
  • Logs sales calls and other relevant information in Salesforce.
  • Performs general clerical duties including typing, proofreading, faxing documents, and stuffing mailings.
  • Reporting duties in Apex system to include running and editing reports, reviewing and correcting reports for previous sales day, processing and posting the edit reports.
  • Creating new or updating existing sales orders in Apex.
  • Prepare sales quotes.
  • Process and request updated insurance documents from vendors and haulers.
  • Prepare trucking service agreements for hired haulers.
  • Partner with the customer service and sales teams to address customer concerns and issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


Education/Experience
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Work Requirements
  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality is required.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work independently or within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.


Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to utilize the internet and email effectively.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

Physical Requirements


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Regularly required to sit and use hands and fingers to manipulate/handle objects.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk, hear and lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to communicate with others by telephone, electronically and in person.
  • Able to utilize office equipment including a computer for word processing, email communication, and preparation of documents and presentations.
  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.



Work Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • The environment is typical of an office setting.
