SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Systems Administrator - Platforms.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP has an immediateneed for a full-time System Administrator professional witha Secret clearance based at our Newport, RI customer site. Theselected applicant will perform work to assist with the management of DoDsystems. While these positions will mostly have regular businesshours, some travel will be required.
Tasks would include installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenanceof server and systems configurations (hardware and software) to ensure theirconfidentiality, integrity, and availability. Candidate would administerserver-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, networkstorage, messaging, and performs systems monitoring. Potential to consult onnetwork, and application issues to support computer systems’ security andsustainability.
A current Windows Administration certification is preferred. Successful completion of training in Windows Administration will be required within the first 6 months of hire.
Candidates must meet baseline eligibility for CyberSecurity Workforce (CSWF) at the DoD 8570-M Information Assurance Manager,Level I (IAT-I) and/or DoD 8140 Intermediate/Journeyman in Specialty Area 451. Examplesof industry certification meeting this requirement is CompTIA’s A+(ce), orNetwork+(ce) credential. CompTIA’s Security+(ce) credential a plus.

Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field including but not limited to Engineering, Computer Science, or ComputerEngineering, is preferred. Advanced military technical training (e.g. Navy"C" School) and 6 years’ experience in military systems (e.g.,service abroad a naval ship) with an additional 3 years of professionalexperience in systems engineering can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, preferably in IT.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year)
Clearance: Secret
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Standard Offices and Electronics Assembly & Testing Labs: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting. In the Laboratory setting, significant use of small hand and electrical tools that require fine motor skills. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs., occasional twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling and squatting. Some potential exposure to fumes associated with soldering.
