Job Description:
Position: Regional Maintenance Lead
Location: Preferred in Dallas, Ashburn, Santa Clara, Phoenix or other main Digital Realty Americas regions.
Your role
The Regional Maintenance Lead is a part of the Americas Operations Support Team. They will report to the Director of Technical Operations. This person will support the North American Technical Operations team while partnering with the Global team.
What you'll do
- Implement the Global Standards for Technical Operations
- Help drive and implement strategies to remediate systemic issues and improve standards and processes, including partnering with Regional Design Team to implement improvements in design
- Perform tasks related to Change/MOP review and approval.
- Support the NA region with vendor oversight and drive accountability
- Assists the Regional Tech Ops Lead in defining and implementing the group maintenance policy and standards and to define best practice planned maintenance standards that align with industry standards.
- Work with Sub-Regional teams to implement Global Standards and hold sub-regional teams / local teams to account for maintaining standards across reliability, maintenance, change management, site acceptance
- Manages the Maintenance Management systems making sure that the software is kept up to date and that any changes that are made are approved by the relevant governance.
- Works with the Regional Maintenance lead and Regional Procurement to ensure all relevant maintenance contracts are in place and are cost effective.
- Takes a holistic view on subcontracts and reviews the possibilities of consolidation and standardization to reduce risk and cost.
- Works with Procurement to ensure economies of scale are leveraged to increase cost effectiveness of maintenance contracts.
- Work with Procurement to define and reviews standard subcontractor KPI's and SLA's.
- Schedules regular face to face meetings with Market Maintenance Leads to discuss maintenance performance, address any maintenance related issues and concerns and other maintenance related relevant topics.
- Provides regular updates to the Regional Ops Leads on any concern relating to asset and maintenance activities. Also provides regular asset collation, planned and reactive work performance reporting.
- Colo Utility Tracker Management
- Properly support handover of data center to operations. (Data center acceptance and proper paper work handover)
- Review and approve commissioning scripts and support commissioning activities with a focus on acceptance requirements of all construction projects before final completion.
- Support Local Operational Management Team on customer impacting incidents, including customer engagement and root cause analysis
- Assist with the operations acceptance for the site as part of the handover from DE&C (e.g., warranties) within the region
What you'll need
- Significant experience of being in a similar role
- Experienced in implementing change and driving continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel as required
- Experienced operator.
- Use experience and often looking past easy solutions to find the right answer.
