SUMMARY



The Speech Analyst is responsible for extracting and interpreting spoken communications in real-time, to deliver incalculable information to Speech Analytics Analysts (project leads), for reporting critical data to stakeholders. Leverages the automated speech-to-text technology by applying proprietary analytics layers to extract business meaning from queried data. Provides our business partners with high quality, innovative, and valuable insights regarding important customer concepts.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS



Must be able to obtain government security clearance for government systems access.


Must be a strong communicator with superior analytic skills able to thrive in a feedback-rich environment.


Must demonstrate excellent communication skills (oral, presentation, and written) and a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience learning and implementing new software.


Advanced proficiency required in MS Excel and MS Access, and/or equivalent reporting and data analysis applications.



KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Master MSP (Medicare Secondary Payer) regulations, Speech Analytics query tools, and mandated quality metrics to autonomously evaluate a high volume of transcribed data.


Performs real-time targeted listening activities to identify emerging trends gathered from Speech Analytics media sets to highlight opportunities within a defined scope of work daily.


Works in tandem with project leads to interpret requests and transform category builders, case studies, and strategic planners into pivot tables and charts to help outline key elements.


Consults with tenured leads to assess relational data and exchange insights on behavioral analysis and customer feedback to support anomaly detection for category development and tuning.


Achieves consensus through collaborative sharing, comprehensive peer review, or team approval when calculating, constructing, and finalizing all investigatory findings.


Maintains coherent inventory templates and investigation forms to file requests, index ad-hoc assignments, and catalog residual tasks for continuous usage and retrieval.


Participates in team meetings, offering and welcoming feedback, to examine best practices, streamline methodologies, and continuously elevate standards.


Meets or exceeds core-competencies for this position.

Responsible for adherence to qualitative and quantitative standards as established to meet contractual obligations and changing business requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



Bachelor's degree in business or technology or appropriate combination of post-secondary education or relevant work experience. One or more (1+) years of experience in business analytics, speech analytics, and/or reporting. One or more (1+) years of health care industry experience with knowledge of Medicare data collections and recovery activities.


Experience in Medicare recovery environment is preferred, including: Medicare policies and procedures, MSP related systems (ReMAS, CWF/HIMR, ECRS, HIGLAS, BCRS, and image repositories). Prior call center operations experience is a plus, including experience with Verint call center software.



JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES



Understanding of and ability to apply basic statistical-based methods of analysis including statistical relevancy and margin of error calculation is required.


Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis is preferred. Ability to effectively storyboard, develop, and deliver executive level presentations is also preferred.


Self-driven, strong work ethic to meet required deadlines as well as autonomously direct one's own work. Very detail-oriented, ensuring veracity of and building confidence in analysis results.


Understanding of and ability to apply basic statistical-based methods of analysis including statistical relevancy and margin of error calculation.


Strong skills in MS Office (Google) applications, particularly Excel (Sheets), Word (Docs), and Outlook (Gmail).


Experience learning and implementing new software.


Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS



Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS



Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.



REASONING ABILITY



Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The pay range for this role is $56,800 - 60,000, with the final offer amount dependent on location, skillset, and experience.
