Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc. is searching for a motivated Manufacturing Production Assistant that is responsible for ensuring the department’s compliance to safety and quality standards per the control plan/work instructions and reporting them to management. May include some people management and reporting requirements. The production assistant will work to ensure people and resources are in good working order and running in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements. They will ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements by conducting daily audits while initiating and assisting with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing tasks, i.e. 5S.

Core Responsibilities:
General and Task Management
Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices at all times by daily audit
Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly through Layered Process Auditing
Ensure all records are completed appropriately and stored in a central location
Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed
Manage work order/token closures and stock transfer transactions
Maintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions
Monitor change over and/or line set up efficiency through Layered Process Auditing
Prepare tokens for use per the scheduled priority
Monitor and report on all safety equipment and tools if they are not operating as designed
Undertake continuous training and development through available in-house training
Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities within the department
Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
People Management
Responsible for tracking the training of operators for processes within the local team
Responsible for daily auditing and Continuous Improvement support for the team to achieve operational success
Monitor time and attendance via the daily sign in/out sheet and ensure compliance with Company procedures
Monitor the completion of assigned tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
Provide documentation expertise within team, and respond to audit queries
Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.
Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team
Relationship Management
Interface with Production Scheduling to execute schedules for weekly production
Liaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintained
Feedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements and delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements
Provide technical auditing and expertise to the team

Job Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum High School education
Speak and write English fluently
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Decision-making skills
Organizational and time management skills
Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
Familiar with Microsoft Office Products
Some Lean Manufacturing experience, including and understanding of 5S
Preferred:
2 years’ experience in automotive industry
Quality Auditing experience
