Job Description
SUMMARY
The individual in this role functions as a Regulatory Affairs and Technical Standards Manager who has business unit level influence and is generally recognized as a subject matter expert. Delivers effective and efficient technical support to Lab Operations and Client Service teams in line with company's financial objectives, mission and values. Responsible for effectively maintaining and providing regulatory, technical standards, and quality and safety requirements to appropriate staff and client base.

Directly reports to the Senior Director, Technical Services & Operations
JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for effectively maintaining and providing regulatory, technical standards, and quality and safety requirements to appropriate staff and client base.
Develop product safety and quality specifications to capture regulatory and industry standards requirements for various products and businesses.
Develops technical SOPs and protocols incorporating customer requirements and communicating with supporting product documentation to executing teams in operations and client service departments.
Responsible for developing and updating regional pricing for client testing programs
Conducts regular information and training sessions for all levels of staff to build and impact their technical capabilities in terms of product safety and quality testing and inspection.
Manages special projects by developing appropriate project plan and coordinate necessary activities across multiple labs for execution in order to meet customer requirements and expectations
Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Textile Chemistry, Textile engineering, or chemical engineering (or other related field) AND
7-10+ years of experience in a related field AND
3+ years of experience in a multinational organization within a specific category or line of business
Preferred:
Master's degree in Textile Chemistry, Textile Engineering, or Chemical Engineering (or other related field)
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Language Skills: English Advanced
Mathematical Skills: Advanced preferred
Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Advanced user proficiency required
Other:
Proven leadership skills; ability to coordinate and motivate staff toward a common goal. Must take ownership of objectives and hold self-accountable.
Proven interpersonal skills for effective work with client services teams, to include cross cultural sensitivities. Customer focused capable of building trust, value others and communicate effectively.
A thorough understanding of the regulations and regulatory landscape in North America. This includes being familiar with and active in CPCS, AAFA, AATCC and ASTM Organizations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all departments within the organization. Must be an extensive multi-tasker, and problem solver with high energy levels and strong organizational abilities.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities across departments and operating units through effective resource management. Strong project management skills required.
TRAVEL
Travels up to 10% of time. Some travel might be international.
