Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $70.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr Agile Project Manager


Project Managers are responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide, cross functional strategic initiatives. They lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. We are currently transitioning to a scaled agile model, therefore this role will need both traditional project management, as well as scaled agile methodology experience.


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Looking for a Sr PM who has experience leading scaled agile transformation
  
  


• Accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given strategic initiative including business, operational, and information technology deliverables


• Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and partners


• Directly manages all aspects of the project life cycle and oversees all phases of a project


• Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost, and quality parameters


• Validates financial forecasts, cost assumptions, and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures


• Works with resource managers to ensure that resource capacity planning is accurately forecast, and provides ongoing reconciliation of actual time spent against forecasts


• Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan


• Handles risks and issues management for the project-level risks and interdependencies


• Partners with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to track Agile development milestones and support Agile practices as needed


• Manages team relationships to ensure effective delivery Facilitates problem-solving and resolves stakeholder conflict Teaches, coaches, and mentors team members to remove roadblocks and drive project execution

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 8+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects, with emphasis on product development, systems, and technical environments


• 8+ years of experience with project management tools and artifacts, including MS Project, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, project budgets, change requests, status reports, etc.


• Demonstrated ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace


• Proven experience with and understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum


• Proven ability to quickly build relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders


• Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects


• BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience


• Proven ability to build a strong partnership and trust with stakeholders Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively & succeed within a highly collaborative culture Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally


• Demonstrated sound business and technical acumen Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure


• Understanding of cross-functional dependencies and how they impact project execution


• Expertise with financial data and the technology, tools and processes that support work and projects/programs


• Expert understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum


• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to execute with limited information and ambiguity


• Preferred: PMP or PMI-ACP certification
