RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Woburn, MA seeking a Quality Assurance Technician.

Summary:
The QAE is responsible for conducting various tests on robotic systems to ensure product quality, performance and reliability. This role is critical to the development of the most advanced robotic fulfillment and sortation systems on earth.

Responsibilities:

• Testing the functionality and performance of an autonomous fleet of robots


• Bots tested as an independent product as well as within it's current use case


• The current Outbound Dock use case involves interacting with other robotic work cells or sortation products as part of an overall automated outbound dock solution


• Robotic Work cell operation as an independent product being qualified as well as it's interaction with the autonomous fleet


• Recovering workcell from mechanical or sw faults


• Deploy, configure, and maintain autonomous robot fleets, robotic workcells, and related environments (SW, FW, HW updates) to align with changing test scenarios


• Testing involves a combination of physical and virtual test environments, therefore expect physical activity (walking, bending, squatting for low profile bots, lifting, pushing)


• Tests may involve prepping test data virtually via SW tooling or physically via package sets, carts, obstacles, etc.


• Collect and analyze data and metrics during or after active testing (logs, dashboards, databases, other web tools) and document observations


• Clearly communicate regular status to QA Lead and/or Manager


• Highlight risks or blockers in a timely fashion

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to troubleshoot HW/SW/FW to identify failures and translate into well written defects


• Ability to recover from failures and maintain a healthy test environment


• Ability to run existing or contribute to automated testing; Examples include autonomous 'gauntlet' of obstacles or varying aisle width traversal tests which may include HW test fixtures to simulate actions


• Ability to think on your feet to quickly diagnose a situation and determine next steps


• Excellent verbal and written communication is critical


• Self-driven and motivated to learn and understand the complex systems being tested (environment configuration, test data creation, test execution, what we validate/where and why)


• Able to deal with ambiguity and switch gears/priorities quickly when products or features are early in the maturity cycle


• Basic computer skills, including running scripts and basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands, SQL

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
