About This Opportunity: This position serves as our primary Corporate Finance expert supporting the team in a private equity-owned company in the automotive management & logistics space. This role requires a unique blend of financial modeling prowess, strategic acumen, and the ability to develop a deep understanding of the automotive fleet management and rental industry. We are highly active in the capital markets and the role will serve a critical function in our capital raising plans. This is a pivotal role in driving financial insights that align with our company's growth strategies, value creation objectives, and private equity ownership context.

Location: Merchants Fleet Headquarters

Remote Status: In Office

Who youll work with: This is an opportunity to work directly with the Merchants executive team and private equity partners. The Corporate Finance Executive Partner will provide comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to help influence the strategic direction of the organization. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and executive leadership. You will gather data, understand business objectives, and incorporate relevant assumptions and market trends into financial models. Your work will be pivotal in supporting corporate strategic planning and enhancing our capital raising efforts, ensuring alignment with our growth strategies, value creation objectives, and the overarching private equity ownership context.

Your working day:

• Build and maintain financial models to support corporate strategies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure accurate financial assumptions.

• Perform scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate different strategies and their impacts on financial performance.

• Continuously improve financial modeling tools and processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.

• Stay informed of regulatory changes affecting fleet operations and integrate these into financial models.

• Assist with event-driven financing, capital raises, and presentations to C-suite executives and investors.

The skills & qualifications you have:

• Expertise in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, VBA) and familiarity with analytical tools like Python and PowerBI.

• Strong knowledge of key economic indicators and fleet management KPIs (e.g., TCO, downtime, fuel efficiency).

• Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

• Excellent communication skills to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, or related roles, ideally in a private equity environment.

• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with attention to accuracy and deadlines.

Your Education: Bachelors degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or CFA designation is a plus.
