Job Description:
The University of Michigan and the National Institutes of Health will jointly invest $79 million to support and recruit 30 new faculty members to the Ann Arbor campus. This is part of a nationwide effort to enhance inclusion and equity across the biomedical and health sciences community.
The University of Michigan seeks outstanding scholars for new tenure-track assistant professor faculty positions as part of the 2024 Michigan Program for Advancing Cultural Transformation (M-PACT) Program. This hiring program, funded by the University of Michigan and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), aims to recruit faculty with a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) via their scholarship, teaching, and/or service activities with research interests suitable for funding by the NIH. This call is part of a broader university effort to enhance inclusion and equity across the biomedical and health sciences community. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or terminal degree conferred by July 1, 2025, and must never have had a tenure-track faculty appointment.
The following schools/units are participating in the program: Dentistry, Engineering, Institute for Social Research, Kinesiology, Life Sciences Institute, Literature, Science & the Arts, Medical School, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Social Work.
