This position is responsible for supporting the Category Management team in analysis of product assortment, price change analysis, RFP reviews and managing administration of vendor agreements. In addition to these functions, this key position will oversee and administer the information within the organizations systems (Market Medium, Adage, Power BI, Attribytes).
Essential Duties:
Complete assignment of new items allowances to rebate programs in Market Medium
Assist with updating existing VMA supplier documents to be entered into Market Medium by Program Management team
Communicate with suppliers to respond to questions about rebates, billback and program billing
Complete analysis in support of IMA & Shamrock RFPs and Right Product Initiatives (RPI)
Monitor weekly dashboards to assess category performance against established metrics
Support negotiation of programs as assigned by SCM/CM with new non VMA suppliers
Assist with product assortment reviews and analysis, identifying top-performing SKUs
Work with Branch Category Managers to gather market pricing intelligence on competitive products
Develop knowledge base in assigned categories with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs
Qualifications:
Four-year college degree in business or related field preferred.
1-2 years of relevant experience of foodservice experience or equivalent in the area of merchandising, category management, and/or marketing
Experience with one or more of the following programs Power BI, Market Medium, Adage
Solid quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to work in a team setting.
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
Proficiency required in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point as well as Microsoft Outlook; Prior experience with Microsoft Access would be beneficial
