The Manager, Accounts Receivable provides managerial support and direction to the accounts receivable team through leadership, creative problem solving and solution development. The processes include leadership of onshore and offshore resources performing collections related activities.
What the Candidate Will Do
Lead, plan and provide support to the accounts receivable staff and processes
Manage Accounts Receivable team and assist with evaluation of employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product
Collaborate on development, maintenance and improvement of accounts receivable systems and processes
Develop new policies and process improvements and implements changes within function
Develop and report Key Performance Indicators on SLA’s with a focus on providing higher quality service as well as transparency to the internal customers
Collaborate with internal and external parties (Carriers, Customers, Operations, Carrier Procurement, Sales, Carrier Pricing, Onboarding, IT, Accounts Payable, Billing) to identify/eliminate obstacles, create efficiencies, increase automation, and enable issue resolution)
Interact with various staff, at all levels as required, to meet strategic objectives
Develop leadership skills in others by coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing and reinforcing best practices
Conduct research, reporting analysis and special projects as requested
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in in Finance, Accounting,or related field
Minimum 5+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
3-5 years in Finance AR or Transportation
3-5 years of Management experience
Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Freight Payment Terminology
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Tools and other applications: Ability to leverage Excel and other MS programs, including Outlook, Teams, etc.
Knowledge of the Oracle or Comparable ERP System, specifically, Accounts Receivable module(s)
