Position: Search Engine Optimization Strategist
Reports to: SEO Manager
Location: Remote

Responsibilities

• 
  SEO Management: Oversee daily SEO activities for website, ensuring optimal search engine performance.


• 
  Strategy Execution: Implement SEO strategies as directed by the SEO Manager, and communicate results to Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.


• 
  Project Requirements: Draft IT project requirements to ensure new site enhancements align with SEO best practices.


• 
  Research & Analysis: Conduct research on website and competitor sites, analyzing their Google rankings.


• 
  Reporting & Recommendations: Provide ongoing reports and feedback, recommending improvements.


• 
  Collaboration: Work with IT, eCommerce, Taxonomy, Copywriters, and other teams to enhance search results through cohesive SEO activities.

Key Duties

• Monitor and maintain the quality and integrity of search results.


• Identify trends in search engine results and develop optimization strategies.


• Contribute to technical enhancement requests to improve website functionality and SEO performance.


• Provide technical feedback on SEO shortcomings and suggest best practices.


• Collaborate with various teams to execute projects and explain SEO best practices.


• Deliver and maintain performance reports for the SEO channel on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 
  Experience: 3+ years in SEO within the eCommerce space.


• 
  Knowledge: Understanding of search engine algorithms and website architecture.


• 
  Tools: Proficiency in Google Search Console, SEO crawling tools (Botify, Screaming Frog, Lumar), and keyword reporting platforms (semRush, BrightEdge, Conductor).


• 
  Technical Skills: Ability to diagnose technical issues like broken links and redirect chains.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• 
  Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Chrome DevTools.


• 
  SEO Skills: Understanding of link strategies, Core Web Vitals, and schema markup.


• 
  Analytics: Experience with Adobe Analytics.
