Location: Harrodsburg, KY

Description: Our client is seeking a Full-Time Addiction Nurse Practitioner in Lexington, Kentucky. The NP will deliver primary healthcare, including Medication-Assisted Treatment, and will be responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, lab tests, medication prescriptions, and health condition management.


Qualifications include a master's degree in nursing, 2 years of experience as an NP a valid Kentucky license, and a preference for substance use disorder background. The ideal candidate should excel in crisis intervention, collaborative billing, and possess conflict resolution skills.


Key responsibilities involve assessing new patients, prescribing withdrawal management treatments, managing chronic medical issues, educating clients and staff, and initiating medical policies. The NP will participate in counseling sessions, conduct screenings, and adhere to national care standards.


The role requires adherence to policies, attending in-services, and keeping licenses up to date. Skill sets such as compassion, communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail are essential, along with stamina, commitment to development, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
