A Day in the Life

This position is primarily responsible for managing the operations of Early Career rotation programs, with broad support of the overall early career experience COE. In partnership with Early Career Program Managers and Program Specialists.

This position will work remote within the US.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Recognized Rotation Program Specialist for the Medtronic Early Career Rotation Programming managing large projects. Including program design recommendations, budgeting, recommendations in partnership with Program Manager.

  • Represents Early Career for specific projects and initiatives across functional areas

  • Communicates with internal and external customers and vendors at various levels.

  • Works independently with limited oversight from manager, sets objectives for own job area to meet objectives of project and assignments

  • Is the program specialist expert in operations such as SOW creation, PO requests, Metrics, Workday and other systems

  • Takes initiative to learn new technology that increase productivity across the team

  • Identifies and implementation opportunities to align business procedures with information technology

  • Monitors talent hires, moves and terminations

  • Maintains master spreadsheets for all programs

  • Schedules meetings and events across all programs

  • Designs, develops, and maintains process and technical documentation

  • Maintains online program documentation & reviews and edits as needed

  • Manages program communications

  • Leads and manages systems of rotation programming and key stakeholder relationships including some cross-functional work

  • Analyzes VOC and provides in-depth analysis of data and recommendations based on key learnings.

  • Assist with program alumni networking efforts along with committee members.

  • Leads talent request process and communication plan, in partnership with program manager

  • Participate and internship programming efforts, offers and placement into program.

  • Manage rotational program mentoring programs.

  • Collaborate with program participants to create and manage quarterly newsletters.

  • Manages incoming program questions and problems solves for program participants and managers

Must Have: Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of HR experience, or, an advanced degree with 2+ years' experience

  • Prior Medtronic experience

  • Project Management Experience

  • Experience working effectively in a matrix environment

  • High attention to detail and sense of urgency

  • Strong customer, business, and results orientation

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • Solid HR system knowledge preferred - Workday, Workforce Analytics, Microsoft Teams, Abode

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$83,200.00 - $124,800.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
