Job Description:

Client Services Representative (CSR) - Legal Billing & Financial Support



Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and qualified Client Services Representative (CSR) to provide comprehensive financial and administrative support to assigned attorneys and legal assistants at our client's Firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client billing, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with collections. This role requires exceptional client service skills, in-depth knowledge of law firm billing procedures, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision while demonstrating sound judgment.



Key Responsibilities:

- Provide billing and financial support to designated billing attorneys and teams.
- Input, maintain, and enforce client billing guidelines in accordance with firm and client standards.
- Prepare and present pre-bills to attorneys, ensuring compliance with client-specific billing terms.
- Process edits, finalize invoices, and deliver final bills to attorneys or clients as required.
- Generate and review accounts receivable (AR) and work-in-progress (WIP) reports, assisting with collections as necessary.
- Review New Account Memoranda to ensure completeness and open new client matters efficiently.
- Assist with the review and processing of Accounts Payable (AP) and AR as needed.
- Collaborate with attorneys to monitor billable hours, realization rates, and other financial metrics, particularly for fixed-fee or alternative fee arrangements.



Qualifications:

- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a large law firm or similar professional setting.
- Proficiency with legal billing and financial software, such as Aderant Expert, 3E, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with electronic billing systems (eBilling) is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
