Position Summary:
The Graphic Designer works with Internal Communications team and other administrative staff, providing graphic design solutions, ensuring adherence to the client's identity standards and often meeting tight deadlines. The graphic design specialist also requires the skills and flexibility to shift fluidly among projects and design platforms on a daily basis. While the designer's primary focus will be on internal communications, they will also be assigned, as needed, to support external marketing and business development projects.
Essential Functions:
Executes design and production projects in compliance with the firm's identity standards. Examples:
Newsletters
Posters
Presentations
Reports and brochures
Invitations, signage and other event materials
Image searches, and cropping and resizing of photos and other images
Works with members of the Internal Communications team and other graphic designers to ensure consistency of brand and quality across the firm
Maintains relationships with vendors; including exerting quality control over printing projects and ensuring on-time delivery of materials
Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives
Qualifications
Education/Training/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree, with major or minor in graphic design, required
Professional Experience:
Minimum of three to five years of graphic design experience, preferably in a legal, banking, or large corporate environment.
Experience handling graphic design projects in a marketing/professional services environment, preferred
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, required
Proficiency with the full Adobe Creative Suite, required
Professional level photography experience, preferred
Knowledge of design software and printing processes, preferred
Prior experience working with vendors, preferred
Strong knowledge of, and sensitivity to, use of typography and imagery, preferred
Experience working with corporate identity programs, preferred
