Your Role:



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing general lab activities such as chemical inventory, basic equipment calibration checks, autoclave/dishwasher usage, lab supply maintenance and preparation of chemical solutions.


• Reading and understanding SOP's and protocols.


• Preparing model solvents and executing extraction protocols.


• Generating complete documentation of results and accurate data during testing according to Good Documentation Practices and ALCOA+ principles.


• Scheduling, preparing, and obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, and filters to conduct testing in a timely fashion.


• Consulting a Senior E&L Chemist, E&L Scientist, Lab Manager, or a Validation Project Manager (VPM) to obtain all required clarification and/or technical guidelines when necessary, allowing knowledge and skills to develop.


• Maintaining the traceability of customer product samples according to the current process and approved SOPs.


• The handling of solvents and customer product samples in accordance with all safety rules.


• Reporting all aberrant, unexpected results or deviations to the E&L Scientist or Lab Manager as soon as possible to ensure efficient trouble shooting with QA oversight.


• Keeping test equipment, storage areas and workspace clean and tidy.


• Cleaning labware - Teflon vessels, flasks.


• Calibration of pipettor, balance, and pH meters.


• Using computer software including LIMS, Excel, Word, Salesforce, Teams & Outlook.


• Contribute to the culture of Safety and Quality by ensuring that all laboratory operations are performed according to the Safety and Quality procedures in place.


• Remaining current with the learning plan, all training modules and maintaining accurate documentation of all records.


• Report all accidents, unsafe conditions, incidents or near misses to the Lab Manager.


• Following testing schedules required by the manager.


• Managing and updating equipment logbooks accordingly.


• Ensuring all laboratory equipment functions in a reliable manner.


• Training of other laboratory personnel.


• Receiving customer samples in the lab according to the lab SOPs, as backup for the Lab Assistant.


• Responsible for documenting deviations per our quality requirements if any non-conformity is detected.


• Ordering / Controlling lab consumables.

Who You Are:




Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other Life Science discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a laboratory setting.


• Experience with analytical instrumentation.


• Experience with good laboratory practices.
