SALESFORCE BUSINESS ANALYST

Richmond-Based 

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst to join the Salesforce Team in the Research Division. This position will require an energetic, self-starting individual who is passionate about leveraging Salesforce solutions to drive business growth and enhance operational efficiency in the economic development industry. This position will work collaboratively with the Salesforce team and internal customers to deliver solutions, provide user support services, and assist with training. The selected person will join a talented team that values continuous learning and teamwork and strives to foster collaboration and innovation, ensuring our Salesforce platform continuously meets the needs of VEDP.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal customers to gather, understand, and define business requirements
  • Develop user stories and to-be process flows to support the design and development of Salesforce based solutions
  • Perform unit testing and assist with user acceptance testing
  • Work with internal customers to development training plans and deliver training
  • Support data conversions as needed for solution implementations
  • Support implementation of system changes, enhancements, and new configuration
  • Troubleshoot operational issues
  • Provide quality assurance support to Salesforce Team members
  • Understand Salesforce and integrated systems across various areas
  • Assist with evaluation of Salesforce releases and provide information on key changes impactful to users and the Salesforce Team
  • Assist with maintenance of Salesforce technical documentation
  • Leverage Salesforce resources to continue to expand knowledge and stay up to date on the ecosystem

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Sales Cloud, including process automation using flows, user administration, security controls, and lightning features
  • Curious and pro-active about learning how Salesforce is configured to support VEDP
  • Collaborative, team player that enjoys working with others to improve solutions and share knowledge
  • Problem solver that seeks to understand how something works and critically thinks about how it can be improved
  • Analytical with a strong attention to detail to troubleshoot configuration and data issues
  • Consultative people skills to effectively assist users with issues and improve business process
  • Strong communication to break down technical information to non-technical users
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills necessary to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in carrying out job functions and meeting deadlines

Experience: 

  • At least 2 years as a Salesforce Business Analyst or in a similar role
  • At least 1 year administering Salesforce
  • Experience with a project management methodology such as Waterfall or Agile
  • Experience developing and delivering training
  • Experience with Excel to analyze and manipulate data
