As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for accurately maintaining financial records and performing various accounting tasks. **Responsibilities:**- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software and spreadsheets.- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and bank deposits.- Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.- Track and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.- Prepare and file tax forms, including sales tax and payroll tax.- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential issues.- Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting and forecasting processes.- Provide support during audits and tax filings.- Stay updated with accounting regulations and best practices.
**Requirements:**- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.- Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero.- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.- Excellent organizational and time management skills.- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.- Good communication and interpersonal skills.- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
