Responsibilities for Associate include but are not limited to: Personally demonstrate a high level of customer service and engagement. Work with a team to create and maintain a pleasant environment for customers and staff. Be aware of subtle customer cues and respond appropriately while utilizing emotional intelligence. Assist in receiving and processing product shipments - this includes entering inventory into our online system. Assist in preparing and displaying new merchandisePromote brand and sales. Maintain a standard of cleanliness in the store by following set guidelines. Develop an exceptional familiarity with the Flannel & Barrel brand and comprehensive product knowledge to provide solution-oriented & friendly service to customers. Ensure customer profile information is accurately recorded. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and company values when engaging with your peers. Understand and execute cash handling and reporting functions. Perform other duties as directed.
Environmental Factors: Must be able to stand or walk for 8+ hours a day with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to frequently reach, bend, and twist - specifically below the waist and above shoulders with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Ability to climb, reach, and bend on ladders with or without reasonable accommodations. Will be required to use a computer/POS system up to 60% of the time throughout the day.
Qualifications for Retail Associate: Excellent interpersonal skills, including having an approachable and friendly manner. Good time and task management skills, including prioritizing and changing tasks easily. A flexible schedule - will be required to include nights and weekends. Attention to detail. Some retail experience and has passion, drive, and positive attributes that they can bring to Flannel & Barrel. Experience working POS systems and willing to learn new systems. Capacity to build and maintain customer relationships. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take direction. Able to persist through challenges and take initiative. Goal-oriented and results-driven. Exemplifies the highest standards of integrity and trust. Collaborates and functions as part of a team.

Compensation: $15 to $17 per hour depending on experience. Performance and profit-sharing bonuses.
