Job Description:

Hourly Wage:

$18.72 - $21.02

(candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

Description:

Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Performing information systems related audits to determine the accuracy of information, compliance with credit union policies and procedures, state and federal law, and regulations.

  • Verifying internal controls are in place and working as intended.

  • Updating and following audit programs to meet testing objectives

  • Identifying, analyzing, evaluating, and recording sufficient information to achieve the objectives of each review and audit.

  • Preparing audit reports detailing conditions and recommendations

  • Presenting audit results to Credit Union Management and Audit Committee

  • Interacting with team members throughout the credit union

  • Assisting on audits, projects and other special tasks

Work Schedule:

• Working approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school year and up to 35-40 hours per week during the summer.

• Must be able to work onsite at Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI throughout the school year and during breaks. Remote work may be available if certain criteria are met. 

• This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible, position that will start May 2025 and go through May 2026. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months.

Training:

Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging. 

  • Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Enrolled at a University throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in majoring or minoring in an Information Systems related field.

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Coursework in the field of Accounting.
