The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing operations of Martini Tree Bar with the highest possible standards to create an Apres Bar experience that will ensure guest satisfaction. The manager will schedule and lead support team members and oversee the day-to-day flow of the bar from open until close. All Taos Ski Valley jobs require staff to ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to guests and team members at all times. The Manager must also be prepared and able to perform the duties in other restaurant positions within reason.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Completion of daily opening and/or closing duties according to checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Quality control and assurance of prepared food and drinks.Resolve escalations with a positive outcome when the need to do so arisesLead staff and coordinate day-to-day operation of each assigned shiftDelegate duties to staff and send associates on break at appropriate timesAssist in properly training staff to execute service standards for presentation, delivery of food and beverage, and service styleMaintain strong knowledge of all aspects of each position and be able to provide support as neededOrder daily supplies and communicate other inventory needs to appropriate managementCommunicate with guests and solicit their feedback, address issues as neededObserve staff interactions with guests; coach, train and correct staff as neededIdentify areas of opportunity within the operation to enhance speed of delivery, quality of food and beverage, and consistency and quality of the delivery experience. Work closely with the Resort Executive Chef and the team to continuously improve all areasReview and understand financial information, as well as perform basic arithmeticConduct performance reviews of each employee throughout their employmentComplete daily financial reports and end of shift notesAssist with special events as needed (set-up, tear-down, and room reset)Understand and communicate products and services available at the resortEnsure Entertainment program is executed properly.

Qualifications/Knowledge:
Minimum of 6+ months of restaurant experience, including 6+ months of team leadership experience requiredMust already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hire.Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire.Advanced knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and proceduresProficient mathematical skills for managing inventoryProficiency with Microsoft Office and Square Point of Sale preferredAbility to arrive at work at scheduled time and stay until scheduled end timeAbility to review financial information for accuracy and identify problem areasAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Work Environment:

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holiday and Peak days. TSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.

Physical Demands of Position Include:

Will frequently lift up to 15 pounds, occasionally lift up to/over 50 pounds. 75% of the time will be spent standing, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting and smelling. 25% of the time may be spent walking, climbing/balancing. 5% of the time will be sitting and/or being exposed to the cold/snow.
