SCHEDULE: Days, primarily.
ATTRIBUTES
Nursing Degree required, BSN preferred
Minimum three (3) years acute/continuing care clinical experience
MDS proficiency preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Management. Ensure safe and appropriate staffing levels and skills during all hours of operation; maintain ongoing communication with staff regarding performance; develop and assess department goals and objectives; act as a resource to department, staff, patients and other department staff and the community
Leadership. Act as a liaison and facilitate the flow of information; assure completion of incident reports and patient complaints with appropriate follow-up; support and communicate standards of care, management philosophy and objectives; provide input regarding departmental budget for staffing supplies
Patient Care. Develop the resident care plan and ensure implementation through the interdisciplinary team; develop, implement and evaluate in conjunction with Senior Director of a department Quality Improvement Plan
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
PAY RANGE: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
