Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role involves ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:


  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations

  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns as required

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations

  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred

  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
