Job Description:


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Columbus, OH that is seeking a Product Designer responsible for supporting multiple aspects of product development. The Product Designer will partner with product managers, developers, content creators, school district partners, and external vendors to research, design, and develop product guidelines and solutions (print and digital) that align tightly with end-user needs and market requirements. This role requires a strong focus on product value and is accountable to sponsors for schedule and quality of all program elements.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Participate in product discovery (including user testing) and product design (including documenting requirements and writing user stories) for innovative, playful educational programs

  • Make appropriate product recommendations to best meet both internal and external customer needs

  • Build and maintain relationships with school districts in support of ongoing research efforts

  • Coordinate with research sites to track progress, organize feedback and troubleshoot issues

  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure delivery of projects on time and as specified

  • Assist in product development RFPs

  • Coordinate with vendors to develop, enhance and maintain products







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Self-motivated and well-organized; Able to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure

  • Able to work with a wide group of stakeholders in a positive and collaborative manner

  • Open style of communication to foster efficient flow of ideas and build consensus across the project

  • Cross-disciplinary understanding of product management, software development, and quality assurance

  • Flexible and adaptable to tools and ways of working

  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, negotiation, conflict management, collaboration, organizational and critical thinking

  • Capable of communicating with a wide audience of individuals

  • Growth mindset, adaptable and open to change, interested in improving over time

  • Positive attitude

  • Capable of influence in a matrix structure where authority may lie elsewhere

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Slack a plus






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
