What you will do
The Walmart CVD & Tech Strategy Manager will partner closely with the Walmart US Customer Development team to drive customer specific technology roadmaps, projects, and strategy. As a leader within the US Customer Value Delivery (CVD) Team you will direct a team of onsite and offshore resources to formulate, prioritize and deliver on key business OKRs. This will include efforts within Advanced Analytics & Forecasting, Category Management and Retail Technologies to drive Business Performance and Cost Savings across the Walmart US Customer Development Organization. The candidate will have the opportunity to shape our Technical Strategy and Solutions with our internal business partners and retail partners at Walmart. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to inform and build the capabilities that can be expanded to the broader Customer Development organization.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Walmart US Customer Development team to craft and implement Technology Strategy Roadmaps for the next 3 years
Provide Technology Leadership to solve business problems, assist in build/buy decisions and track/communicate business outcomes associated with our technology investments
Promote the benefits of data aggregation within appropriate security protocols for data collection, reports generation and advanced analytics
Ability to communicate the concepts, methodologies, and outcomes of complex projects to the customers in a way that encourages confidence in the insights and results. Influence across all levels of the organization
Partner with Technology SMEs and collaborate with other HPT (High-Performing Team) leads to identify unique solutions to meet ongoing business challenges/opportunities
Partner to formulate upskilling plans and training on tools with the Training & Collaboration team to raise the technical knowledge of the overall organization
Explore opportunities to reduce repetitive tasks and elevate the business via IA tools such as Power Automate, Alteryx and UiPath
Maintain a "constantly learning" mindset by evaluating relevant tools as they come on the market and staying abreast of new innovations
Create innovative, market leading solutions that create a durable competitive advantage for the Walmart US Customer Development team
Architect and lead the development of tools and solutions that harmonize diverse data sets such as Luminate, Planalytics, Nielsen, and Numerator to
unlock the ability of the analysts to develop stronger insights while reducing their workload overall
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications
Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, MBA, or similar experience
Excellent business-facing communications and influencing skills
An interest in innovative technologies and experience with translating Business needs into Building or Architecting reusable technology solutions
Self-starter with an upbeat demeanor, creative thinking skills, ability to quickly build relationships and derive clear decisions and directives from ambiguity
Leading via Scrum/Agile development practices and methodology to get swiftly to MVP and drive business through technology
Demonstrated ability in a similar analytics role in a professional environment or experience with architecting technology that solves business challenges
Comfortable with building or mocking reports and visualizations. Power BI or Tableau experience is required
Previous experience leading and coaching resources either directly or indirectly
Willing to learn, collaborate, eager to help, and a high EQ
Strong understanding of the differences in category-level datasets vs vendor datasets and the different security requirements for both
Desired Qualifications
5 of more years of experience as a Data Analyst, Programmer or Software Architecture
Experience in simple or complex data ETL operations using tools similar to Alteryx
Scrum Master Certification or equivalent Project Management experience
Relevant CPG and/or Retail Industry experience, including exposure to category management, shopper insights, retail, e-commerce technologies
Extensive experience with Walmart's Retail Link and/or Luminate data systems strongly preferred
Fluency with SQL
Experience across Microsoft's Power Platform with particular emphasis on the Power BI and Power Automate ecosystems
What's in it for you
The annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $123,000 to $166,000. This takes into account a number of factors, including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level, and other job-related factors.
