Mainframe IMS Lead at Infosys Limited in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Mainframe IMS Lead - In the role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture knowledge and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Fort Lauderdale, FL or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require relocation and or travel to project locations.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience in Mainframe IMS handling database maintenance, database security and database availability related task.

Preferred Qualification:
• Experience in Monitor and review SQL; database space requirements through automation
• Experience Monitor Health check and alerts in place for database objects availability
• Experience Create and give authority to Views restricting access to sensitive columns
• Experience DB jobs monitoring, Backup and restore, table, Table space creations, performance and logs monitoring
• Experience in Support Outages and production issues related to the DB
• Experience in IMS upgrade preparation and validation
• Excellent communication skills, ability to lead the projects and present them to senior leaders.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
