We are looking for someone to join our team as an entry level Geotechnical Engineer in Seattle, WA. As a geotechnical engineer you will bring your expertise and unique solutions to highly visible and challenging projects. Our mid-sized group allows entry-level candidates immediate heightened responsibilities, and an open-door policy encourages 1:1 access to some of the best and most experienced geotechnical leaders in the region.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:

  • Perform geotechnical engineering calculations and analyses.
  • Perform geotechnical report writing.
  • Complete geotechnical field exploration and sample collection.
  • Perform geotechnical construction monitoring and testing.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Engineering, Geology, or related field required.
  • M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering required.
  • Engineer-in-Training License
  • Ability to obtain PE license in 3-4 years
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Team attitude and the ability to interact well with internal staff, and project teams that will include other consultants, contractors, and clients
  • Experience with Slide2, Settle3, , and APile/LPile (preferred)
  • Experience on construction sites and field explorations (preferred)
  • Ability to travel to temporary assignments across the U.S., the Pacific Islands region, and internationally if applicable
  • The ability to lift 50lbs
  • Current driver's license

The salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company’s discretionary bonus program. This role may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
