Account Manager
This position is critical to promoting Kimal Lumber to customers and meeting agreed upon sales and margin goals that surpass annual budgetary targets. This position will be the lead of an internal group of support positions - a team within the Sales Team that will create a personalized level of sales and marketing for each of his/her assigned customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build existing business and develop new market opportunities in the regional area of southwest Florida which Kimal services
Develop sales and margin levels that achieve defined company budgets and sales targets, with a mindful emphasis on including all product categories, as a direct sales representative for specified customer accounts
Represent Kimal Lumber at special project meetings and other industry functions, as well as making formal company sales presentations when necessary
Responsible for handling customer complaints and finding reasonable solutions for the mutual benefit of the customer and Kimal Lumber, including assisting in collecting receivables and resolving credit issues
Visit customer jobsites in order to promote more sales opportunities, help create quotes or takeoffs, coordinate trim orders, facilitate deliveries, report jobsite schedule and status to Operational staff, settle disputes, and further the connection between Kimal and customer
Inspect and approve any merchandise that assigned customer wants to return
Occasionally make small customer deliveries if necessary
Maintain clean, professional- looking vehicle, driver’s license in good standing, as well as good driving record
Maintain a general awareness of current market conditions – including competitor’s offerings and pricing, as well as product knowledge and training for products and services that Kimal offers
Learn, utilize and adhere to Kimal’s operational policies and procedures in order to process orders and serve customers
Any other tasks as assigned by management
Skills Needed:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months of sales experience.
Ability to write reports or business correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public in English.
Ability to operate a vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
Have a good knowledge of products that Kimal sells (lumber, doors, moldings, trusses, etc.), and be able to effectively and professionally present information about those products and services to builders, homeowners, and other tradesman.

These physical demands are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Regularly required to walk, see, talk and hear. Often required to stand, crouch, or sit.
Regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 50lbs.
Regularly required to see clearly with close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
