Job Description:

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive wellness programs that promote healthy lifestyles among employees. This role involves creating and managing wellness initiatives, conducting health screenings, providing individual and group health education, and fostering a culture of health and well-being within the organization. LiveWell OU is the tri-campus employee wellness program.  


Duties:



  • Assists the Employee Health and Wellness Manager to lead a comprehensive employee wellness program

  • Coordinates, plans, and facilitates a variety of programming including classes, speakers, seminars, activities that promote a healthy lifestyle, and assisting with health screenings, health fairs, and nutrition and exercise programs.

  • Develops and provides educational presentations and materials covering a variety of wellness topics

  • Tracks participation and analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for program improvements this includes maintaining accurate records and track progress of employees.

  • Develops and maintains relationships with campus and community partners to provide resources for employees

  • Collaborates with other departments to promote a culture of well-being

  • Answers participant inquiries and may meet employees one-on-one or in a group to develop health goals.

  • Promotes wellness programs and activities to increase employee participation and engagement.

  • Creates and maintains a supportive environment that encourages healthy behaviors.

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Required Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Public Health, Health Education, Nutrition, or related field

  • Understanding of various health promotion and wellness programs, including physical fitness, mental health, nutrition, and stress management

  • Ability to design, implement, and manage comprehensive wellness programs that meet the needs of diverse employee populations

  • Ability to inspire and lead employees toward healthier lifestyles through engaging wellness activities and programs


Certifications:



  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or able to attain within 6 months of employment


Advertised Physical Requirements:



  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to other locations for wellness events.

  • Use of a computer and telephone.

  • Ability to engage in repetitive motion.

  • Lift and carry at least 25 lbs.

  • Able to pull or push objects with upper and lower body.

  • Must be able to reach above head or stoop down.
