Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for the oversight and direction of all EHR Fiscal staff and activities related to the implementation, maintenance and optimization of electronic health record revenue cycle applications and processes.

How will I contribute
Work with internal development team ongoing development of EHR applications to best support Health System revenue cycle functions Facilitate and direct best strategies for the optimization of all revenue cycle applications. Identifies and communicates EHR revenue development cycle needs to the EHR Design Team for development. Develop both long and short-term optimization and maintenance strategies. Responsible for global knowledge of the revenue cycle and ensuring key indicators are timely monitored to quickly address and resolve system build issues. Provide guidance and direction to the revenue cycle application teams as needed. Set clear performance expectations for quality and performance and hold team members accountable. Analyze and validate workflows (revenue cycle and otherwise) and facilitate adaptation of system to support patient safety, quality, compliance, security, and efficiency. Oversee change control processes as it relates to revenue cycle and ensure proper analysis and communication is completed. Assist with the development of project work plans and manage special projects as needed. Establish and facilitate excellent working relationships with leadership and all individuals/teams/committees throughout the Health System. Interface with vendors and third parties as needed. Review contract terms and conditions related to revenue processes to determine required deliverables for billing. Maintain professional expertise by attending seminars/courses as required, review of published literature and self-education Research and recommend potential new services for CIO to market to customers. Ensure that revenue cycle applications processes for test, build, and training facilitate support best practice as it relates to revenue cycle along with patient safety, quality, compliance, security and efficiency. Plan and lead system update activities for respective application teams. Collaborate with leadership and end-users to identify opportunities for optimization of system. Serve as a system resource as it relates to the inter-relation of revenue cycle application build and actual revenue cycle workflows, processes and procedures. Proactively communicate/report to departmental leadership the status/progress of work and any other relevant information as related to all application teams activities. In collaboration with the EHR Design Team, responsible for ensuring that system build activities support regulatory requirements as directed. Other duties as assigned. Participate as part of the KVPS-IT Directors team, in development of overall strategic initiatives for KVPS.

What I bring
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, or other related field, plus 2 years of experience; or in lieu of degree, two years of experience for each year of college required Class C Driving License Professional Certification in Credible Applications Knowledge of behavioral health CPT4 coding. Knowledge of general accounting principles. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge and understanding of state and federal rules and regulations. Knowledge of modern health care administration practices and principles Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills. Ability to operate in high-pressure situations. Ability to work collaboratively across various entities and disciplines. Effective analytical ability to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to, and solve complex problems and issues. Ability to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction including employees, patients, visitors, faculty, referring physicians and external stakeholders Demonstrated creativity and flexibility. Ability to implement change in a positive, sensitive, and forward-thinking manner. Inspires confidence, appropriate risk taking and achievement of high standards.
